Our Sustainability Story
Built On Our Mission
The bedrock of our business has always been our repurposing of steel. “How can we make a positive impact within the oil and gas industry?” When ARC Energy started back in 2011, the backbone of our business was the repurposing of existing gas processing equipment. The following period from 2011 to 2013, the company got to work with a focus on high-pressure equipment, recycling offshore platforms, and repurposing their equipment. With a significant decline of active offshore drilling off the coast of Louisiana coinciding with the shale revolution, rampant decommissioning ensued. ARC adapted and applied its experience with offshore equipment to repurpose for onshore. This period’s focus on equipment supply and logistics for midstream and upstream companies allowed for an estimated __ million pounds of steel to be recycled by the year ____.
Mastering the Art
After achieving our first $1 million as a company, ARC moved to further build on what was working. After 2 years of success, reconditioning process and production equipment proved not only a profitable business strategy, but one that breathed new life into used equipment. ARC could bring pristine options for the industry without expending additional energy and extracting resources. This has been the most impactful, long-term source of ARC’s sustainability story! And the scale with which our reconditioning efforts grew was emphasized by our lifetime sales surpassing the $150 million mark in 2017.
The Road to Today
With the expansion of our facilities and opening of new fabrication shops in 2018, we grew our offerings to include both reconditioned and now NEW fabrication of process and production equipment. Though our business was no longer 100% reconditioned and used equipment-driven sales, we were able to unlock new frontiers with our improved ability to raise capital. This allowed for us to open our shop in Egypt that could further our recycling cause to the Eastern Hemisphere market. Our new expanded solutions and abilities allowed greater convenience for our customers and prevented waste of precious time and resources. Our growing team of field technicians are on call 24/7, ready to mitigate methane emissions for customers! Today, thanks to further expansion, consolidation, and the continuation of our diversified offerings strategy, ARC Energy has been able to invest over _______ in R&D efforts to further our sustainable offerings for the oil and gas industry and, through our partners, offer state-of-the-art emissions mitigation and tracking technology for things like glycol dehydration packages, VRUs, and flare _____. Our Strategic Development team has particularly focused on flare capture and methane abatement technology that can be utilized on the well site and reduce environmental impact.
